Classes are filled on a first-come, first-served basis, with priority given to applications received before January 1st for the following school year.

Applications will only be processed after the $55 application fee is received—see bottom of application.

Tour

In order to be offered enrollment, you must have completed a tour of BPCP or attended our Open House event. I have taken an in-person tour or have attended the Open House and spoken to a BPCP representative.

For new students under the age of three, the BPCP teachers reserve the right to schedule an evaluation of the school readiness of the child in the June-August timeframe. The teachers may recommend holding off on the start date of a child until the evaluation can be performed successfully. There may only be one child under the age of three in the classroom each day.

The consent of the teachers is required to exceed the following guidelines: 2-3 days a week for children ages 33 months to children not yet aged 4 on September 1st. We will work to meet your requested days but may need to make changes based on availability.

Bright Prospects Cooperative Preschool strives to be welcoming to all, regardless of their financial situation. In order to make Bright Prospects more accessible, we use a sliding scale fee structure where members choose a monthly payment level that reflects their income, assets, and privilege. The scale is listed below.

We invite families to assess their own assets, income, and privilege in determining how to support the school financially. You can find a guide for how to assess this on the admissions page of our website. Regardless of how much you pay, you are still required to follow the Parent Involvement guidelines outlined in our membership handbook. What monthly rate are you able to pay for the year (choosing any amount between the high and low range noted above)?

Cooperative Preschool Agreement

We’re more than just a preschool. Bright Prospects Cooperative Preschool is owned and managed by the parents. Accepting a place means accepting membership meetings and committee work (~1-3 hours / month) and volunteer hours (3.5 hours / month) in the classroom. This work is part of what makes our community great!

After submitting your application, the Membership Chair will send you a confirmation email. This email will include either an offer of admission, or in the event of a full roster, will inform you of your child’s spot on our waitlist. In order to be offered enrollment, you must have completed a tour of BPCP or attended our open house event.
